Learning outcomes
The student knows the principles of language service provision in the field of translation of legal, financial and accounting texts belonging to different genres and in different language combinations; s/he is able to implement the main language service provision standards in professional settings.
Course contents
The seminars and the workshop will focus on issues linked to the translation of legal texts and of financial and accounting texts where the legal element is transversal.
The followiing aspects will be addressed: terminology, textual types, translations methodologies in the field of legal and financial translation; basic accounting principles and the related workshop in 3 languages (IT/EN/FR); law and legal terminology workshop with regard to two legal systems (Italy and Switzerland); central role of interpreters and translators in criminal procedure.

Teaching methods
Teaching will be delivered through seminars and workshops.
Assessment methods
On-going assessment of learning with multiple choice test.
Teaching tools
Both lectures and workshops will take place in computer labs equipped with PCs and projectors. Slides will be used in lectures and then subsequently made available via the e-learning platform in Power Point format.
