The course aims to provide students with the tools to understand a phenomenon (the world of insurance) that both from a financial and a liability/guarantee point of view occupies the pages of newspapers or courtrooms every day.

Classes are held on a semester-by-semester basis.

Assessment methods

The examination will be exclusively oral,

Prerequisites:

The examination can only be taken after having passed the Civil Law and Commercial Law examinations.

The assessment of the test will be carried out taking into account:

the knowledge of institutional profiles
the ability to analyse jurisprudential and doctrinal orientations;
the ability to make connections between the different parts of the programme;
the ability to develop critical arguments;
the articulation of the exposition;
the accuracy of the exposition.

Teaching tools

In the course of the lectures, material for further study and discussion (judgments and legal essays) will be provided.
