Learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop the students will be able to apply the specific techniques learned autonomously or within projects organized by the institutions; they will know how to confront other subjects on how to use and document the techniques they learned, and how to place the specific knowledge they acquired in different types of service. They will also have learned how to evaluate the limits and merits of the technical instruments they approached, and how to transfer the technologies they studied in different contexts making personal modifications and integrations
Course contents
Knowing and participating: the design of a regulatory path
The workshop intends to bring the students actively closer to the normative system they will confront themselves daily in their professional practice with.
This is not a course in legal disciplines, but rather a workshop path aimed at knowing and understanding both the legislative procedures (where and how does a norm originate?) and the regulative content.
The students will acquire skills that will be useful to the exercise of the professional activity through practical exercises on case studies, with reference to those of public debate, relating to the reconciliation between regulatory constraints and enforceability of rights. By way of example, we will focus on legislation in the educational and scholastic spheres, in order to reflect on the principles of personal freedom, the protection of social rights, the competences of the State, the regions and the municipalities, also with a view to taking pedagogical initiatives.
The workshop offers students the opportunity to strengthen their ability to apply knowledge and understanding, to exercise autonomy of judgment and communication skills in relation to the institutional, political and educational system of the Italian State.
Readings/Bibliography
To complete the contents that will be covered, a short bibliography will be provided during the lessons, which will also include references to the legislative process and school legislation.
Teaching methods
The workshop will consist of face-to-face lectures, guided activities for researching online documentation, case study exercises and group work.
Assessment methods
In order to pass the examination, in addition to the regular attendance of the lessons (according to the regulations in force) the course requires constant and active participation, involvement in the workshop activities, which may end with the presentation of a group paper, and in those activities that are assigned to the individual students.
Teaching tools
Presentations with slides and videos.
The students with different abilities and special needs who are interested in participating are asked to contact the teacher in advance in order to identify - as far as possible - compensatory strategies or devices or tools that can support the teaching
