Introduction to Ethics and Deonthology principles applied to health care professions: elements of Moral Philosophy; Ethics, Bioethics and professional Deonthology.

General and special ethics: Its origins; universal ethic conceipts; sociological and pedagogical aspects of general ethics. Special ethics as a start point of Deonthology and Bioethics.

Ethics principles and Codes: the Italian Nurses' Code of Ethics. Deonthological responsabilities. International Codes of nursing Ethics: ICN, FEPI.

Introduction to Bioethics: What's bioethics?. Bioethics Boards and the CNB. Analysis of some deonthological decisions and cases: - restraining - abortion – medical assessed procreation – euthanasia

Teaching methods

Interactive lessons, case discussions, group work, use of the virtual platform for self-learning tests.

Assessment methods

The  oral exam  consists in answering to 3 questions of different conceptual complexity. Particularly evaluated will be the student's ability to know how to frame the subjects of the discipline, the demonstration of possession of an expressive mastery and specific language, the critical ability to discuss and analyze any cases / situations presented containing ethical-deontological dilemmas.
The duration is in relation to the learner's exhibition skills, in any case not exceeding 20 minutes.
