Full professor of Industrial Engineering, professor of Logistics and Facility planning at the School of Engineering, Bologna University. The research interests and expertise: design, management, control and optimization of complex production systems. A special focus on storage and warehousing systems, logistics of perishable products, food supply chain, automation of production systems and Industry 4.0, maintenance engineering including predictive maintenance, physical distribution, packaging, environmental sustainability, etc.
