Raffaella Tonin

Associate Professor of Spanish Language, Translation and Linguistics. She graduated in Translation (1998) from the School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators at the University of Bologna and obtained her PhD in Linguistics of Modern Languages (2004) from the University of Pisa. She teaches translation and dialogic interpreting between Spanish and Italian on the degree programme in Languages, Technologies and Intercultural Communication. Her current research interests include: the translation of illustrated literature for young readers, the history of translation, and translation didactics. She is the author of monographs, edited volumes and essays in national and international books and journals. She is currently Chair of the DIT Joint Staff-Student Committee and a member of the PhD Board, with responsibility for teaching, within the same department.
