Since 2008, my research activity has focused on six main areas: face to face and remote interpreting and mediation; (mediated) institutional communication, especially in the medical field; the creation and analysis of multimedia corpora; language acquisition and teaching, translation and localization, emotions in teaching and professional practice. These research topics are underpinned by the theoretical and methodological assumptions provided by (Multimodal) Conversational Analysis and Corpus Linguistics, in its broadest sense of descriptive analysis of the linguistic performances attested in collections of oral interactions.
