I am an associate professor at the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT), a member of the Board of the Doctorate in
Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies of the same Department, and the Director's Delegate for Guidance. I hold a PhD in
Comparative Languages and Cultures from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and teach French language and culture and Italian-French interpreting (conference and dialogue). My research interests include interpreting in healthcare and asylum and protection contexts, interpreter training, transcription and analysis of speech and multimodality, and I had the opportunity to explore these in depth in various national and international projects (
ReACTMe, Smarterp, Linguacuisine, Lancook) and research groups (
AIM Centre, Laboratoire ICAR, Do.Ri.F. Group, POCLANDE). I have published articles in international books and journals, I am the author of
L'interprétation de dialogue en milieu médical. Du jeu de rôle à l'exercice d'une responsabilité (2015), and I am a member of the Editorial Board of
The Interpreters' Newsletter.
