Guidelines for Incoming Exchange Students (ERASMUS)

Course Contents, Textbooks, and Teaching Materials

  1. Course Syllabus:

    • Refer to the course unit catalogue for the syllabus, including learning outcomes, course contents, teaching methods, and tools.
    • A list of books and texts for study (bibliography/readings) is also provided for each course unit.
  2. Textbook Purchase:

    • Wait for the start of lessons and follow the professor's instructions before purchasing textbooks.
    • Teaching materials can be purchased at the bookshop or borrowed from the library.
    • For searching books and materials, visit the Library Portal [http://www.sba.unibo.it/en]

Examination Details

Assessment Method: the examination consists of a brief report and two annotated abstracts in Word format (font size 11, line spacing 1.5).

  1. Brief Report (3-5 pages):

    • Topic should align with the learning objectives of the course and be related to practical experience from the student’s home country.

    • Must be written in Italian and follow a scientific paper structure:

      • Title
      • Keywords (at least 3 keywords)
      • Summary (short abstract, max. 15 lines)
      • Introduction (introduction of the theoretical topic chosen on the basis of the scientific literature)
      • Participants (class description: number, gender and age of children, socio-cultural level, etc.)
      • Method (methodologies used to conduct and evaluate activities: play, drawing, observation, etc.)
      • Discussion (discussion and commentary on the activities carried out, with personal considerations)
      • Conclusions (conclusions on the experience, possible limitations and proposals for future activities)
      • References (References, adopting APA - American Psychological Association guidelines)
    • Recommended textbook for identifying the topic:

      • "Insegnare nella scuola dell’infanzia e primaria. Un approccio psicodinamico" by Rosa Agosta, Giacomo Mancini, Alessandra Naldi. Il Mulino, Bologna (2021).
  2. Annotated Abstracts (1-2 pages each):

    • Summarize and discuss two scientific articles from the following list:

Submission and Evaluation

  1. Deadline:

    • Submit the brief report and annotated abstracts to the professor via e-mail by December 5th of the current Academic Year.
  2. Submission Details:

    • Specify your university course and year of enrollment in your home country.
    • Indicate the average grade of your academic curriculum.
  3. Results:

    • The professor will inform you of your grade and publish it in AlmaEsami.
    • You can accept or refuse the grade. If refused, you may retake the exam during another available session.
    • Once accepted, the grade will be recorded in AlmaEsami. Check your career details regularly in AlmaRM to ensure all exams are recorded.

Important Note

  • All exams must be taken during the agreed-upon period of your exchange programme.

By adhering to these guidelines, incoming exchange students can efficiently navigate their coursework and examinations.
