Francesco Vitucci is Associate professor at the University of Bologna since 2022. His research focuses on audiovisual translation, particularly on the sociolinguistic and ideological aspects of translation from and into Japanese. He currently focuses his research on the topic of female and male identities and on metapragmatic stereotypes in translation. Engaged in national and international research collaborations, he collaborates with several associations, universities and festivals on the Italian territory. He translates Japanese authors such as Hamao Shirō, Edogawa Ranpo, Yokomizo Seishi, Tsumura Kikuko, Tsukamoto Shin'ya, Kurata Takashi, Koreeda Hirokazu, Onda Riku and is author of several scientific publications in volumes and in national and international journals.
