Short Bio

Born in Bologna, he teaches History of medieval art, History of illumination, Food and visual arts and Art education in the Department of Arts of the local University, where he has a didactic activity for both BA and MA and for the Master in History and Culture of Food; has been invited for lessons and public talks by the Louvre Museum in Paris and by the Université François Rabelais in Tours (F), by Dickinson College in Carlisle (PA, USA) and by the Department of History of Mandalay University (Myanmar). He has published a huge number of studies, especially about illumination and XIII-XV century painting. He is a member of the faculty board of the PhD program in History of Arts of Venice Ca' Foscari University. Go to the Curriculum vitae

Office hours

My first office hours after the summer break are scheduled for Monday, September 20th, at 9.45 am, in my office in Santa Cristina. As classes begin, I will be present in my office every Friday, from 4 to 5 pm, before the lesson, starting from October 1st.
