Academic discipline: ARTE-01/A History of Medieval Art

Short Bio

Born in Bologna, he teaches History of medieval art, History of illumination and Food and visual arts in the Department of Arts of the local University, where he has a didactic activity for both BA and MA (courses and workshops) and for the Master in History and Culture of Food; has been invited for lessons and public talks by the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Uffizi in Florence, and by many other Universities, such as the Université François Rabelais in Tours (F), the Dickinson College in Carlisle (PA, USA) and the Mandalay University, Department of History (Myanmar). He has published a huge number of studies, especially about illumination and XIII-XV century painting. He is a member of the faculty board of the PhD program in History of Arts of Venice Ca' Foscari University. Go to the Curriculum vitae

After the end of classes, this is the list of my office hours in December and January:

Monday, December 22nd 2025, h. 5.00 pm

Wednesday, January 7th 2026, h. 9.30 am

Thursday, January 15th 2026, h. 5.00 pm

Friday, January 30th 2026, h. 5pm

No office hours in February, as in the period 10/2 > 14/3 I will be out for a study trip in Asia.
