Exam procedures for the 2022 summer session
Following the recommendations of the Vice Chancellor for Teaching, my summer session exams will take place in the following way.
The exam will be held in person, apart from those students who find themselves in certain situations:
- unable to travel due to illness
- in international mobility (Erasmus)
- resident in foreign countries
- unable to be present for extraordinary, documented reasons
Since from 01/06, AlmaEsami will no longer allow students to self-certify their need to undertake exams remotely, those who want to be exempted from the requirement to be present must write an email to davidneil.manners@unibo.it to justify the request.
To make the examination method as similar as possible for all candidates, the EOL application will be used in all cases to deliver the quiz, while the students who participate remotely must also use a second internet-capable device to show the room via the Teams application.
In the classroom
Bring a computer (or mobile phone) with an internet connection, with sufficient charge for the duration of the test. The size of the screen must be such as to allow the visualization of any figures to be analysed.
Remotely
Arrange a closed room in which you can take the without being disturbed by other people. You will need a computer with an internet connection. Apart from the computer, only white paper, pens/pencils, paper tissues and water can remain on the work desk.
A mobile device with video camera and internet connection is also needed to show the candidate's activities during the test, positioned to frame the work desk and the computer screen used to take the test. It is important that the screen is oriented to avoid reflections that make it difficult to see.
For the duration of the session, it is not possible to use other electronic devices or accessories such as headphones, earphones, smart watches, google glasses, microphones, speakers.
The Microsoft Teams application should be activated on the mobile device to monitor the candidate during the quiz and the remote oral exam.
