Teaching

Dissertation topics suggested by the teacher.

At the core of the various teachings lies an analytical framework that is reflected in empirical research questions and in subsequent reflections (or lines of reflection) on policy areas and/or the implementation of fundamental rights in specific contexts of individual and collective life. In particular, the core of scientific interests around which bachelor's and doctoral theses can be coordinated concerns the nexus between forms of normativity (legal not only in the positive sense, but also widespread, customary, social, and practical) and forms of knowledge and skills. The policy areas of interest are:

justice and legal services aimed at addressing people’s needs

forms of collective action in cities that integrate digital technologies and data into governance

transformation of the ways knowledge is created, validated, transmitted, and disseminated, also — but not only — through professional practices.

Students who wish to take an interest in performative rituals in connection with the dimension of 'making the rules,' 'following the rules,' 'creating social identity forms through rituals' are encouraged to contact the instructor. The scientific interest and third-mission engagement in this regard are particularly pronounced.
