EDUCATION
• High school diploma in Scientific Studies, obtained in 1984 with a score of 60/60.
Degree in Statistics and Demography obtained at the Faculty of Statistics, Demography and Actuarial Science of the University of Bologna in July 12, 1989, with a score of 110/110 cum laude. Thesis title: "Design and analysis of repeated sample data over time: a "survival" investigation for those affected by cancer". Supervisor: Prof. Irene Poli.

Doctorate in Agricultural Economics and Policy, 11th cycle, University of Siena.Thesis title: “The Agri-Food Industry in Italy: Local Systems and Survival of Companies”. Tutor: Prof. Roberto Fanfani. The thesis was discussed and approved at the Department of Economics of the University of Siena on February 5, 1999.

In particular, in the fifth edition of the Workshop in 2013: "The Italian Regions: Economic Cycle and Structural Data. Institutional Quality and Cohesion Policy in the Regions", I coordinated the working group and edited the document "The Cohesion Policy and Institutional Quality in the Regions".

• 2012 - I coordinated the organization of the Workshop of the RegiosS Association, which I preside, and UniCredit, in collaboration with the Bank of Italy and with the patronage of the Department of Statistical Sciences. In particular, in the fourth edition of the Workshop in 2012: "The Italian Regions: Economic Cycle and Structural Data. Territorial Capital: A Tool for Development?", I coordinated the working group and edited the document "Territorial Capital in the Italian Regions".
• 2011 - I coordinated the organization of the Workshop of the RegiosS Association, which I preside, and UniCredit, in collaboration with the Bank of Italy and with the patronage of the Department of Statistical Sciences. In particular, in the third edition (2011) of the Workshop entitled "The Italian Regions: Economic Cycle and Structural Data. Productivity and Competitiveness", I coordinated the working group and edited the document "Economic Cycle and Productivity in the Italian Regions", focused on the study of labor productivity by sector at the regional level.
• 2010 - I coordinated the organization of the Workshop of the RegiosS Association, which I preside, and UniCredit, in collaboration with the Bank of Italy and with the patronage of the Department of Statistical Sciences. In particular, in the second edition (2010) of the Workshop entitled "The Italian Regions: Economic Cycle and Structural Data. Productive Specialization", I coordinated the working group and edited the contribution "The Productive Specialization of the Regions, the Effect of the Crisis: A 'Break'?".

February 1991-March 1996 – Hired through a competition as a technical collaborator at the 7th level in the technical-scientific field of the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Bologna. I dealt with activities related to the International Statistical Documentation Centre, managing the acquisition and administration of mainly computerized international statistical information (PC, Mainframe, CD-ROM). I also cooperated in various research activities of the Department using my statistical and computing skills in the economic field.
Academic Year 1992-1993 – Appointed as an expert consultant for the Informatics course at the Faculty of Statistical Sciences, University of Bologna.

Academic Year 1993-1994 – Conducted computer exercises on analyzing and managing statistical data such as National Economic Accounts and Input-Output tables prepared by Istat and Eurostat for the “Agriculture Economics” and “Statistics” courses (Faculty of Statistical Sciences, Rimini campus).
Academic Year 1990-1991 – Appointed for 20 hours of teaching as a support to the Statistics course in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, University of Modena.

April 1989-January 1991 – Worked as a researcher at the Bologna Nomisma Economic Studies Center, in the “Productivity and Competitiveness” section. I dealt with statistical analysis and processing for specific research projects such as “Productivity, Profitability, and Participation in Cooperative Enterprises: Issues and Prospects,” “Metalworking Industry Database” 1990 and 1991, and “North-South Productivity Differentials” in 1991 (Svimez).
