Cristina Brasili

I am an Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Statistical Sciences "Paolo Fortunati", University of Bologna. I teach Regional Economic Policy in the Master's Degree Programme in Local and Global Development (Department of Political and Social Sciences) and Economic Policy in two Bachelor's Degree Programmes.

I served as Co-Coordinator of the Horizon 2020 project PERCEIVE (REFLECTIVE-SOCIETY-2015), Perception and Evaluation of Regional and Cohesion Policies by Europeans and Identifications with the Values of Europe. From 2023 to 2025, I was a member of the Executive Board of the Italian Regional Science Association (AISRe).

My main research interests include EU Cohesion Policy and regional development policies, institutional quality, local development, regional growth and inequalities, and the EU–Mercosur trade agreement. Since May 2024, I have served as Delegate for Third Mission (Relations with Society and Industry) at the Department of Statistical Sciences "Paolo Fortunati", University of Bologna.
