Researcher since 2005 and Associate Professor in Fluid Machines since 2021, she carries out her research in the field of internal combustion engines, mainly gasoline-fueled, and in the field of cardiovascular modeling. She mainly deals with:
1. Analysis of the intake process, with particular interest in the optimization of the incoming flow aimed at generating an appropriate level of turbulence in the chamber;
2. Analysis of the exhaust process;
3. Combustion, with particular attention to the prediction/containment of detonation;
4. PFI and GDI gasoline injection;
5. Water injection.
6. Optimization of the injection process aimed at containing polluting emissions, especially at cold temperatures and low engine loads.
7. Modeling of the cardiovascular system and 3D CFD simulation of sections of the cardiovascular system (e.g. aorta), for non-Newtonian fluid, for both laminar and turbulent flow, with possible fluid-structure interaction to model the interaction between lumen and blood.
