·         the PI has identified a new aggressive variant of thyroid carcinoma so called the Hobnail papillary thyroid carcinoma as (see reference 17, Asioli S et al Am J Surg Pathol 2010).

·         the PI showed an extension of the phenotypes associated with mutations in DICER1 including Head and Neck diseases ( see reference Foulkes WD et al. Hum Mutat. 2011) in collaboration with the Research Institute, McGill University Health Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
