QUALIFICATIONS
* PhD in Sociology and Social Research (XIX cycle) at the University of Trento;
* Diplôme d'Études Approfondies (DEA) at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris;
* Degree in Political Science (110/110 cum laude) at the University of Milan;
* Classical high school diploma (60/60), at the Liceo Classico Marco Polo in Venice.


INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AND TEACHING
Rossella Ghigi attended during the PhD the Summer School in "Social Science Data Analysis and Collection" at the University of Essex (UK). After being hired at the University of Bologna, she was Visiting scholar at Goldsmiths College, London (UK) with a Marco Polo grant from the University of Bologna; she lectured at the University of Amsterdam (Universiteit van Amsterdam) with funding from the Teaching Staff Mobility Program (LLP / Erasmus); she also did researches at the University of Washington, Seattle.


SCIENTIFIC AND TEACHING ROLES
*2013 onwards: Member of the teaching staff of the doctorate "Sociology and Methodology of Social Research" of the State University of Milan;
* 2013 onwards: Member of the Scientific Board of the Study Center on Mobility, Diversity and Social Inclusion (MoDI) of the Department of Educational Sciences - University of Bologna
* 2010 onwards: Member of the Scientific Board of the Center for Gender and Education Studies (CSGE) of the Department of Educational Sciences - University of Bologna;
* 2010 onwards - Member of the Scientific Committee of the Odoya publishing house in Bologna (for the Quaderni del CSGE series);

* Sociology of Welfare and Continuing Education (Master's Degree Course in Lifelong Education);
* (2020/2021 onwards) Gender Studies in Education (Degree Course in Social and Cultural Educator - Bologna).
