Scientific interests are in the field of physiological regulation
during the wake-sleep cycle. In particular, the neurophysiological
and neurochemical aspects underlying the relationship between sleep
and the enviroment have been addressed. The scientific activity is
carried out in the Research Group " Physiological Regulation in the
Wake-Sleep Cycle" as coordinator of the "Laboratory 1.
Behaviour"
i) study of physiological regulation during the wake-sleep
cycle;
ii) stidy of the pattern and the regulatory
aspects of the wake-sleep cycle ;
iii) study at molecular level of the activity of specif brain
area involved in wake/sleep, autonomic, and endocrine regulatory
processes,
