Short Bio

I am an assistant professor at DIT. I got my degree in conference interpreting (2008) at SSLMIT, Università degli Studi di Bologna and my PhD in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies at the same University. My academic activity (research and teaching) focuses on interpreting between Italian and Spanish, and in particular on the management of figurative language in interpreting, on technologies and methods for remote interpreting and interpreter education and on oral comprehension and communication.

I was a member of the SHIFT in Orality Erasmus+ project, on the didactics of remote dialogue interpreting, of the Smarterp project, on AI-assisted simultaneous interpreting, and co-PI of the Inside the Virtual Booth Project. I am currently a member of the Coralive E+ project, on the diagnostic evaluation of oral comprehension in French, Italian and Spanish. I am a member of the LICEI group, a research group on Spanish/Italian contrastive linguistics, of AIETI (Asociación Española de Estudios de Traducción e Interpretación), AISPI (Associazione Ispanisti Italiani) and EST (European Society of Translation Studies).
