Sociology of Russian language with particular regard to the
problems of bilingualism and other following sociolinguistic
problems:
1. Situation of the Russian language in the RF and CIS
(“postsovetskoe prostranstvo”), problems of language
maintenance and shift, language policy and planning. Problems
of contemporary Russian language variation.
2. Situation of the Russian language in the last emigration wave
in Italy and abroad. Speaking strategies of bilingual Russian
emigrants. Dynamics of bilingualism and Russian studies about it.
3. Text analysis and translation. I am working on Russian
language for special purposes, linguistic features of
economic, scientific and legal text on a comparative base. This is
also my teaching matter in my university lessons.
4. Selftranslation in Russia and CIS (in the Soviet and
Postsoviet period); language policy and selftranslation.
5. Josif Brodskij: a poet with two languages. Bilingualism in
literature.
