Mattia Guidetti

Associate professor in Islamic archaeology and art history. He had previously worked at the chair of Islamic art history at the University of Vienna and at the University of Edinburgh. After completing the PhD at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, he held post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard University, the Getty Institute and the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence.

Research and teaching activities focus on art and architecture of the Medieval Mediterranean area and of the Islamic lands.
