Organizational methods of the tutorial course in Sociology of Cultural Processes_A.A. 2024/2025.

The tutorial course runs alongside the courses in “Sociology of Cultural Processes” A-L and M-Z, conforming to them in terms of topics covered and organizational methods. The lessons, aimed exclusively at working students and/or those in debt for exams and/or Erasmus students, will take place online, on Thursdays, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, according to the following calendar: 09/26; 10/10; 10/24; 11/7; 11/21; 12/5; 12/12.

The tutor is available to receive the students of the course via Teams, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm after the lessons, by appointment agreed by e-mail.

Students attending both groups will receive teaching materials in the form of PDF and will be followed during the learning assessment process, which consists of three intermediate tests and a final oral exam.

The topics of the intermediate tests will be taken from the bibliography reported below:

The first intermediate test will be the text in point 1 (excluding Weber).


The second intermediate test will be the text in point 1 (Weber) and the text in point 2.


The third intermediate test will be the written production and oral presentation of a critical synthesis drawn from the reading of at least two volumes among those indicated below, differentiated according to the student’s membership in the A-L or M-Z group.

Students who have obtained a grade equal to or higher than 18/30 in all three partial exams can access the oral exam that will complete the evaluation. Students who have obtained a grade equal to or higher than 18/30 in only two partial exams will have to make up one written test at the same time as the final oral exam, and in any case within the September 2025 exam session included. Students who have not completed or passed two partial exams will be required to take a total exam (grade out of 30, passing with 18/30) on the entire program (texts at points 1., 2., 3.).

It is possible to refuse the grade obtained in a single intermediate exam only after having passed all three partial exams. The recovery of the relative part of the program will be done in writing. It is sufficient for the student to communicate the refusal of the grade via email within 3 days of the publication of the results of the third intermediate exam.

The student also has the right to refuse the final grade. In this case, he/she will have to take the written exam on the entire program and the oral exam.

The oral exam will focus on the fundamental concepts of the course and on a volume chosen from:
