CURRICULUM VITAE ET STUDIORUM OF MARCO DALLA ROSA
- Born in Trento (Italy) on December 1955, M. Dalla Rosa carried
out the secondary school at the Agricutlural Institute of S.Michele
all'Adige (TN, Italy)
- On 1979, he graduated in Agricultural Science at the
University of Bologna, doing a research work on Processing of
Kiwifruit, discussing the thesis work with the Prof. C.R. Lerici,
with the score of 110/110 et lode.
On 1980 he was on military service under the Alpin troups.
From graduation until now he was fully dedicated to the research
work and academic activities.
On 1984 won a fellowship to carry out a research period at the
CSIRO, Sydney, Australia and on 1985 he was worked for four months
as a visiting scientist at CSIRO, working with Dr. R.J.Steele and
Dr. R. Duckworth.
On December 1985, back in Italy, M. Dalla Rosa received a
contract as lecturer on Animal Food Processing at the University of
Udine.
On 1987 he discussed the PhD thesis on Food Biotechnology.
From 1986 to 1998, he was scientific responsible of several
national research projects on quality properties of fruit and
animal products.
From 1990 to 1992, after winning a race examination, he has been
at the University of Udine working as university researcher
(permanent position) in the field of the Food Technology.
From 1992 to 2000 he has been associate Professor of Food
Technology at The University of Udine.
On 2000 he won the full professorship at the University of
Bologna and from November 2000 he is working as full professor of
Food Technology at the Degree Course of Food Science and Techology
of Cesena (Bologna University).
He is President of the Degree Course Committee on Food
Technology (BSc) and Food Science and Technology (MSC) at
University of Bologna, site of Cesena.
From 1997 to 2000 has been chairman of a working group in the
FAIR Concerted action on Osmotic dehydration FAIR CT-96-1118.
From november 2003 is responsible of a Unit operation in the
STREP EU project HEATOX on toxicants produced by thermal
treatments
He is member of ISEKI_food association and member of the
Advisory committee.
- M. Dalla Rosa has been partner of ISEKI-Food and ISEKI-Mundus EU
Thematic Networks.
- M. Dalla Rosa is author or co-author of more than 300 scientific publications or congress communications. 204 papers indexed, H-index 47, > 8400 citations on Scopus.
- Passionate about winter sports but mainly the sport of sailing, M.Dalla Rosa, was selected in his youth for the junior national team of the 470 class, formerly a II level federal instructor, carries out competitive activities in crew with other university staff in the J24 class regattas, Delta 84 and Solaris 36 OD. FIAS II level Open Water Diver certification.
- M.Dalla Rosa collaborates with cultural magazines and other information bodies, and is the author of numerous articles of a popular nature and interventions in the media in the field of culture and food science. He was a speaker at TEDxTrento 2018 and TEDxForlimpopoli 2023.
