Jessica Fiori

Jessica Fiori is Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Bologna. Graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Bologna in 1998 and received a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science in 2003 from the same University. Her current research activity is devoted to mass spectrometric strategies for the identification and characterization of bioactive molecules or natural compounds in different matrices and for the study of peptides involved in protein aggregation disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. Very recently she focused her interest on proteins and peptides involved in pathological events and gut microbiota metabolites, which provide a relevant contribution to the host’s nutritional, immunological and physiological status. She is author and co-author of many scientific articles published on peer reviewed international journals.
