Curriculum vitae

Ilaria Braschi (IB) is Associate professor at the University of Bologna in the sector of agricultural chemistry. Research interests lie on ecofriendly techniques to depollute soils and water, as well as plant and animal matrices.

Education.

Graduated with an Industrial Chemistry master’s degree at the University of Bologna in 1991. IB awarded a Ph.D. in Soil Chemistry at the University of Turin in 1997 and a PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Eastern Piedmont Amedeo Avogadro in 2013.

Academic carrer.

2000-2002: Laboratory technician at the Agricultural faculty of the University of Bologna (UNIBO). 2002-2017: Assistant professor in Agricultural Chemistry at the Department of Agro-environmental Sciences and Technologies (UNIBO). From 2017: Associate professor at UNIBO. Since March 2017, IB has been enabling to cover a position of full professor in the sector 07/E1 – Agricultural chemistry, Agricultural genetics and Pedology.

Teaching activities.

Course of "Chemistry and biochemistry of plant nutrition" at Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Master) and of "Pollutants in the soil-water-plant system” at Planning and Management of Forest Territory, Landscape and Environment Master of UNIBO.

2013-2016: Visiting professor at the Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur, de Recherche et d'Expertise spécialisé dans l' Agriculture, l'Agroalimentaire l'Environnement et le Paysage -ISA Lille (France) - Master Course of Sustainable Management of Pollution (SMaP).

Scientific activities.

Recently, IB is involved in protocol definition to enhance the production of crops with zero-pesticide residue, in the abatement of antibiotics and antibiotic-resistance in animal manure (PRIN 2022 3IMPACT [https://site.unibo.it/3impact/it], PSR-2018 Lombardia REFLUA [https://site.unibo.it/reflua] ) and in the removal of mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOH) from cellulose-based food packaging (Project Re-paper [https://site.unibo.it/re-paper] with patented technology funded by PoC Ateneo-2020, PoC Bando Vertis-2020, Poc MiSE-2020). IB was research partner of several european (H2020 FoodE [https://www.foode.eu/] ]; H2020-SFS-2019-2 WATERAGRI [https://wateragri.eu/] ; PRIMA-H2020-2018 FIT4REUSE [https://fit4reuse.org/] ), national (PON-2017 Taranto [https://www.taranto.cnr.it/w/] ) and regional research projects (PSR Emilia-Romagna-2019 REpHYT).

Author of more than 60 publications on international journals and of books (Scopus H-index 27).

Inventor of "Use of mesoporous silica" international patent extended to EU, USA, and China.

Since 2012 delegate to Comunication sector of the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (UNIBO).
