Short Bio

Full professor at the University of Bologna since 2016, he carries out his research in the field of food safety. The research interests are aimed in particular at the traceability of the microorganisms responsible for foodborne diseases using molecular techniques (PFGE, MLVA and real time PCR) and genomic sequencing techniques. His research has recently focused on the study of antibiotic resistance in zoonotic bacteria and on risk assessment in artisanal food products. Engaged in international research projects, he collaborates with various European institutes. Author of more than 100 publications in international indexed journals Go to the Curriculum vitae
