Works as professional engineer (civil-environmental sector) in the years 2009-2015. Main activity concerns the design of shallow geothermal systems and technical support in the realization of research projects.

Education and training

2012. PhD in Geoenginnering, Georesources and Geotechnical Engineering – School of Civil Engineering and Architecture – University of Bologna. Title of the Thesis: “The probabilistic characterization of underground as a tool for the optimization of integrated design of shallow geothermal systems”.

2007. Master Degree in Environmental Engineering – Geoengineering. University of Bologna
Title of the thesis: “Thermal exchange models in well based upon geothermal characterization of a low enthalpy reservoir – Sensitivity study on the efficiency of conditioning systems with heat pump”.

Winner thesis of the prize “Gustavo Sclocchi Thesis Award 2007” as best Italian thesis on geothermal resource.

December 2018 - Winner of DICAM Best Paper Award for the scientific work "Exploitation of geothermal energy using tunnel lining technology in a mountain environment. A feasibility study for the Brenner Base tunnel–BBT", published on the journal "Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology".
