Dissertation topics suggested by the teacher.

Students are encouraged to request supervision for their master’s theses or for the final dissertation of their bachelor’s degree if they have taken an exam in one of the subjects I teach. Exceptions to this policy, as established by the degree programme regulations, may be considered after evaluation of the proposal and the motivations provided.

Please note that the final dissertation for a bachelor’s degree is generally a short piece of work, in which the topic must be clearly and concisely defined and addressed.

After an initial meeting to assess the possibility of supervision and, if appropriate, to agree on a thesis topic, students will be asked to submit a draft table of contents for approval. They will then be invited to submit one chapter at a time. All submissions will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. Appointments will, of course, be available throughout the entire process.

Proposed thesis topics must fall within one or more of the following areas:

  • (Philosophy of) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

  • (Philosophy of) Cognitive Science

  • Philosophy of Technology

  • Philosophy of Science

  • Philosophy of Mind
