Curriculum vitae

Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna, since 1997 he has mainly worked as a freelancer in his studio in San Marino where he deals with landscape design, parks and gardens and environmental planning. Enrolled in the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of the Province of Rimini in section A/c Landscape Designer No. 1085.

Education

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences in Bologna with a master’s degree in "Landscaping, Parks and Gardens" and in Landscape Architecture in Florence with a master's degree “Restoration of the historical garden". Attended the course "Land Use Policy" at the University of Edinburgh, the post-graduate course "Green Design in urban spaces" at the University of Milan, the "Landscape Design - seminar and workshop" organized by the European Institute of Design, Milan in Radicondoli.

Membership of professional associations and scientific committees

Member of AIAPP (Italian Association of Landscape Architecture) of which he was Vice-President of the Triveneto-Emilia Romagna section and member of the scientific operating committee for IFLA 2016 (53rd World Congress of the International Federation of Landscape Architecture Turin 2016), AIPIN member (Italian Association for Naturalistic Engineering); he was a member of the San Marino Rep. Technical Scientific Committee as an expert.

Teaching activity

He has been collaborating since 2010 as co-rapporteur and point of reference for landscape issues at the Graduation Laboratory "Archeology and architectural project" at the Faculty of Architecture "Aldo Rossi" of Cesena of the University of Bologna. In the same Faculty he was a lecturer in the Graduate Laboratories "Project, History and Restoration" and "Archeology and Architecture Project" for the teaching of "Project and active conservation of historical landscapes and open spaces" in the Academic Year 2014/15, 2016/17, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22. Lecturer in the 2nd level Master in Landscaping at the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence (DIDA) for teaching: "Materials and Components for the Landscape Project 1". Since 2016 he is a lecturer at the Master Degree in Garden Design and Landscape Design at the New Design Academy of Verona (NAD). Lectures related to landscape architecture in courses at other Universities, Institutions, Professional Associations and participated as a lecturer at numerous conferences. Speaker at the International Meeting Maestri del Paesaggio - Bergamo in 2017.

Professional activity

He is one of the founders of the PAMPA study Progetto Ambiente e Paesaggio (www.pampastudio.eu) where he deals with landscape design of public and private spaces, environmental analysis and design, environmental impact assessment, forestation, naturalistic engineering, phytodepuration, viability alternative. Winner in multidisciplinary groups of different design competitions, including the one concerning New Gardens from the Middle Ages - Rosa Fresca Aulentissima for the historical center of Verucchio (RN), the one related to the redevelopment of the Rimini-San Marino expressway and the relative one to the ascent to the Castle of Gemona del Friuli. 

Among the projects of recent years, the Laiala Park in Serravalle, the Campo della Fiera in Santarcangelo di Romagna, the green layout of the World Trade Center of S. Marino, the Giardini dell'Alba in Riccione, the Parco degli Olivi in Falciano, the environmental restoration of the Fosso di Ca 'Pontoso in Serravalle, the Green Ways network of cycle-pedestrian paths in the Rep. of San Marino, the park and waterfront of the area belonging to the Marchesato and Fabbrica Vecchia in Marina di Ravenna, the arrangement of the external spaces of the former Salesian complex in Faenza, the Montelupo park in an area with archaeological and panoramic-landscape protection in Torraccia (RSM), the Contea archaeological park in Santarcangelo di Romagna, the Parco Ducale di Pavullo nel Frignano requalification project.

Cultural activity

His projects and articles are published in the major professional magazines (Architettura del Paesaggio, Paysage/Topscape, Acer, Ville&Casali, GiardinAntico, Arc.SM, Piscine Oggi).

He's one of the founders of millepapaverirossi, a cultural association for the knowledge of the landscape.

Prizes and awards

Winner of the City Brand & Tourism Landscape Award 2018 in the category "Brand Landscape: Landscape design for production sites and industry" with the project "Scrigno Lab Outdoor".

Recognition of "Excellence for the Landscape 2019" for the Tenuta Mara project on the occasion of the "Wine & Landscape Architecture 3.0". Award established by Paysage and MIPAAFT (Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies).

Winner of the third edition of "The Heart of Eboli 2019" organized by Radicity Eco-sustainable Urban Regeneration with the project entitled "Intrecciare il tempo".
