He deals, in general, with problems of representation and survey
in architecture. He is mainly interested in the renewal of
Descriptive Geometry related to the use of information technology
tools: studies on developable surfaces and ruled surfaces;
applications in stereometry; studies on projective geometry, in
particular the genesis of the ruled quadrics surfaces; the "problem
of Apollonius" in space.
He is also interested in 3D modeling using the new methods of
digital representation: the mathematical and numerical
representation. In this area the research group has focused toward
the problem of visualization tools and enjoyment of digital 3D
models, and information associated with them, analyzing different
scenarios related to the fields of architecture, archeology and
industrial design, so as to take into account different dimensional
areas, from the object to the city, the car to the furnishings
inside. The issue has basically two aspects: - The tools to see
models - The technologies for visualizing the models
