Short Bio

Federico Condello (1973) is Full Professor of Classical Philology at the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna, Dpt. of Classics and Italian Studies. He is tenured of Classical Philology (MA degree), History of Ancient Theater, Classical Literature and Tradition (First cycle degre), and coordinator of the Laboratory of Translation from ancient Greek and Latin (MA degree).

He is member of the editorial board of the journal Eikasmós and other Italian journals and editorial series; he is member of the scientific board and coordinator of the public activities of the Research Centre La permanenza del Classico; he is member of the Scientific Committee, teacher and tutor of the Collegio Superiore of the University of Bologna; he is PhD supervisor, teacher and vice-coordinator for the PhD Course in Philological and Historical Cultures of the University of Bologna.

He collaborates, as expert in classics and classical reception, with the newspapers «il manifesto» and its cultural supplement «Alias-la talpalibri» (Rome), «Corriere della Sera» (Milan), «La Repubblica» (Rome).
