2020: Master’s Degree in Legal Translation at the University of Genoa.

2019: PhD in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies, from the Department of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna in Forlì. Title of the thesis: A Sociolinguistic Perspective on Child Language Brokering: Attitudes, Perception of Self and Interactional Contributions. Supervisor: Professor Antonini. Grade attained: Excellent

2015: Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting at the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators, University of Bologna in Forlì. Title of the thesis: Il child language brokering a Ravenna e provincia: la parola agli studenti e ai professori. Supervisors: Professors Torresi and Antonini. Attained full marks and honours. 

2011: Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Dialogue Interpreting at the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators, University of Bologna in Forlì. Title of the thesis: La femme dans le Maghreb: son statut et sa représentation dans les médias. Supervisor: Professor Londei. Final grade: 108/110.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

November 2025 – ongoing – Principal Investigator of the project PLURIBO – Plurilingual bottom-up approaches: how to promote the linguistic integration of migrant children in educational settings (Grant Agreement no. 101208578), funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship programme through a competitive peer-reviewed procedure.

March 2023 – October 2025 – Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Bologna (DIT).
Project title: Re-testing of two cocreated pilot action activities for the NEW ABC project (H2020 NEW ABC). Principal Investigator: Professor Rachele Antonini.

April 2021 – February 2023 – Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Project title: Collection of research data and audio materials, analysis of linguistic-cultural mediation in primary and secondary school classrooms and health services, digital archiving of materials (PRIN project “Migrant Children’s Participation and Identity Construction in Education and Healthcare”). Principal Investigator: Professor Claudio Baraldi.

February – April 2021 – Research Assistant for the European Project GCMC Toolkit – The Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences Toolkit, University of Bologna, Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures. Principal Investigator: Professor Claudia Borghetti.

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Since 2017, teaching activities at the Department of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna, mainly on community interpreting between English and Italian.

RESEARCH AND TEACHING PERIODS ABROAD

2025–2027 – Visiting Researcher at the University of Basel, Department of Linguistics, participating in advanced training courses on Ethnomethodology and Multimodal Conversation Analysis (EMCA) directed by Professor Lorenza Mondada.

2024 – Teaching visit at the Department of Translation, Intercultural Studies and East Asian Studies, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), within the Master’s in Translation and Intercultural Studies.

2017 – Doctoral research period at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh), School of Social Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Claudia V. Angelelli.

2014 – Research period in London for the preparation of the Master’s thesis at the Thomas Coram Research Unit, University College London (UCL), under the supervision of Professor Sarah Crafter.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (2014–2025)

Freelance conference interpreter (simultaneous, consecutive and dialogue interpreting).
Working languages: Italian, English, French. Member of Tradinfo, Association of Professional Interpreters and Translators.

Freelance translator.
Working languages: Italian, English, French. Main areas of specialisation: legal and judicial translation, medicine and homeopathy, tourism and food & wine. Certified translator registered in the Register of Technical Consultants of the Court of Ravenna.
