Tenure Track Researcher at the University of Bologna, where she carries out her research within the framework of the MSCA Global Fellowship project PLURIBO – Plurilingual bottom-up approaches: how to promote the linguistic integration of migrant children in educational settings, developed through a collaboration between the University of Bologna, the University of Basel, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The project investigates practices of linguistic and cultural mediation, the use of English as a Lingua Franca, and processes of linguistic integration in plurilingual educational settings.
Previously, she contributed to major European and national research projects (including NEW ABC and CHILD-UP), focusing on linguistic and cultural mediation and plurilingualism in educational and healthcare contexts.
Her research interests include linguistic and cultural mediation, Child Language Brokering, English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), and English language teaching in plurilingual settings. Methodologically, her studies combine Conversation Analysis with sociolinguistic and participatory approaches.
