Tenure Track Researcher at the Department of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna, where she carries out her research within the MSCA Global Fellowship “PLURIBO – Plurilingual bottom-up approaches: how to promote the linguistic integration of migrant children in educational settings”, conducted across the University of Bologna, the University of Basel, and the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA). The project investigates linguistic inclusion practices in multilingual and multicultural educational settings, with a focus on public service interpreting, plurilingualism, and the use of English as a lingua franca.
She has contributed to major EU and national projects (NEW ABC, CHILD-UP, Migrant Children’s Participation and Identity Construction in Education and Healthcare), focusing on public service interpreting and plurilingualism in school and healthcare settings.
Her research interests include public service interpreting, child language brokering, plurilingualism, and English as a lingua franca, drawing primarily on the methodological tools of Conversation Analysis and Ethnomethodology (EMCA).
