I joined the Department for Life Quality Studies as an associate professor of Philosophy of Language in July 2022.
In my research work I apply the tools and methods of conceptual analysis to questions arising in medicine. I am currently working on the concepts of health, wellness and quality of life, issues in the philosophy of diagnostic imaging, and on the ethics and communication of vaccination campaigns. I am also interested in the philosophy of psychiatry.
Before coming back to my Alma Mater I was at Milano-Bicocca University, where I was hired with a permanent position in 2006.
I received my BA from the University of Bologna in 1997 and a PhD in Philosophy of Language and Mind from UNIPO (Italy) in 2003. I also studied in London (Birkbeck College), and in Aberdeen (Northern Institute of Philosophy).
I am an associate editor of the European Journal of Analytic Philosophy.
