Research positions at University of Milan
A call is now open for two 18-month research positions at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Milan, within the SOCIAL project, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research under the FIS-2 programme. The project examines social relationships, digital technologies, inequalities, and wellbeing in later life using quantitative, longitudinal and comparative data.The main requirements and conditions are:
- a Master’s, single-cycle, or equivalent degree obtained no more than six years before the application deadline; no specific degree class is required;
- a background in the social sciences, statistics, demography, economics, or related disciplines;
- quantitative skills, good command of English, and familiarity with R, Stata, or equivalent software;
- a PhD is not required;
- enrolment in a PhD programme is incompatible with holding the position;
- duration: 18 months;
- gross annual remuneration: €33,840.
The positions are based at the University of Milan, with some flexibility for remote working arrangements, subject to agreement with the project supervisor and applicable University regulations. The interview will be held online on
