Short Bio

Dr. Tega is Vice-President of the Bioethic Committee of the University. Visiting Professor at the Law Faculty, University of Antwerp, Spring 2020/2021. She sits in the General Council of the International Society of Public Law, ICON-S. She is in the editorial board of Quaderni costituzionali. She clerked at the Italian Constitutional Court (Justice Marta Cartabia). She has been Emile Noël Fellow, Jean Monnet Center, NYU School of Law; Visiting Fellow at the School of Transnational Governance of the European University Institute and the Italian legal junior expert for the EU Fundamental Rights Agency. Her book I diritti in crisi [Rights in crisis] – a critical appraisal of the relationship between Constitutional Courts and ECtHR in the fundamental rights protection – was published in 2012. Her second book, La Corte nel contesto [The Constitutional Court in context] – an original analysis of the role played in the legal system by the Court – has been published in 2020. Main sectors of interest are: Global Constitutionalism; European protection of Human Rights; Italian Constitutional Court; Regional law; Anti-discrimation Law; Secularism and Freedom of religion.
