Born in 1973. I graduated (summa cum laude) in 1998 in
psychology at Urbino University (Italy) with a thesis titled
"Stress at work: The mobbing case". I became chartered psychologist in the year 2000. I then obtained a scholarship from the University
of Padua, by which I took the Master of Science in Research
methods in psychology at University College London (UK). Then I was
granted a scholarship for a PhD at Aberdeen University; however I
decided to come back to work in Italy.
From 2002 to 2006 I worked
for I.N.R.C.A. (National Institute of Health and Science on
Aging) in two European projects (European Study on Adult Well-being
and Eurofamcare), focusing on the development of the survey tools
and on data analysis. In 2009 I obtained the PhD at the University of Trento, defending a thesis on aggressive behaviour at work. The thesis was
awarded the Italian Association of Psychology/National Order of
Psychologists prize for the best doctoral dissertations defended in
2009.
I am associate professor of Work psychology at
the University of Bologna - Department of Political and Social
Sciences - since September 2014. In 2018 I moved to the Department of Psychology.
I am a member of different scientific societies, such
as Associazione Italiana di Psicologia and European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP). From 2015 to 2019 I was a member of the executive committee of EAWOP. I'm
consulting editor of European Journal of Work and
Organizational Psychology, Journal of Businnes and
Psychology, Occupational Health Science and International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. I was a member of the program committee and organizing committee of the 19th European congress of work and organizational psychology, which was held in Torino (Italy) from 29th May to 1st June 2019.
Consultancy work/practice: I worked as a
consultant psychologist for a large public administration agency of
central Italy, dealing with psychosocial issues. I conduct stress assessment projects, as
required by the Italian health and safety
law, for public and private organizations.
