I graduated in Classical Philology at the University of Pisa and I received my undergraduate diploma from the Scuola Normale Superiore. After obtaining my doctoral degree in General Linguistics from the University of Pisa, I taught and participated in numerous research projects at various Italian and German universities (Università di Trieste, Universität Konstanz / Zukunftskolleg, Universität Stuttgart, Universität zu Köln). Since July 2016 I am a researcher and lecturer at the University of Bologna.
In December 2013 I received the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di Professore di Seconda Fascia – settore concorsuale 10/G1 Glottologia e Linguistica.
In July 2017 I received the Habilitation with venia legendi for ‘Romanische Sprachwissenschaft’ from the Philosophische Fakultät of the University of Cologne.
In February 2022 I received the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di Professore di Prima Fascia – settore concorsuale 10/G1 Glottologia e Linguistica.
