She has been associate professor of the University of Bologna since 2014 and has been researching in the field of energy materials for 30 years. Specifically, this activity is focused on electrolytic materials and electrolytes for lithium and lithium-ion batteries, for fuel cells and supercapacitors. Currently her research is devoted to high-concentration electrolytes for Li / S and Li / air batteries, with particular emphasis on the study of interfaces.
Engaged in national and international research projects, she collaborates with several university and non-university research groups. She co-authored 108 publications, 7 book chapters, an entry in the Treccani Encyclopedia and 2 patents.
She teaches in CdS of the School of Science and of the School of Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Sport Science.
She is Editor of the Journal of Power Sources.
