Curriculum vitae

Carlo Rasia is an Associate Professor in Civil Procedural Law at the Law Departement of the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna.

He teaches Civil Procedural Law (M-Q) at the School of Law of the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna.

He also teaches Civil Procedure Law and French Judicial Organization and Domestic and International Arbitration at the School of Law in Bologna.

 

He is the winner of  "Mauro Cappelletti Prize 2015" for the best procedural book in the World conferred by International Association of Procedural Law (see https://www.researchitaly.it/en/news/first-cappelletti-prize-to-a-researcher-from-the-university-of-bologna).

He won the "Enrico Redenti Prize 2017" for the best procedural book in Italy conferred by Enrico Redenti Foundation.

 

2001: graduated cum laude at the University of Bologna- Faculty of Law discussing a thesis in European Procedural Law with prof. Paolo Biavati.

Since 2002: assistant professor in Civil Procedural Law, EU Procedural Law and Arbitration Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Udine (2002-2005) and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna (2002-).

2008: Ph.d in Civil Procedural Law at the University of Bologna with a stage at the University of Pantheon-Sorbonne and at the Icc-International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.

2008-2010: Post-doctorate in Law Department at the University of Bologna.

2008-2010: Professor of Private International Law and International Arbitration within the Master for International Lawyers in Bologna.

2009-2011: Charged of the teaching within the course on International and Domestic Arbitration Law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna.

2012-2015: Charged of European Procedural Law in the School of Law of the University of Bologna

2012-: Charged of Domestic and International Arbitration Law in the School of Law of the University of Bologna.

2016-: Charged of Civil procedural Law in the School of Law of the University of Bologna.

2018-: Associate Professor of Civil Procedural Law in the School of Law of the University of Bologna.

 

2005-: Member of some research teams in Law Departments at the University of Bologna and some International projects.


Member of the Italian Association of Civil procedure law.

Mamber of the International Association of Procedural Law (IAPL).

Assistant-editor of the Rivista trimestrale di diritto e procedura civile, published by Giuffrè.

Since 2004, he practices civil, criminal and administrative law in Bologna. He was lawyer and arbitrator in arbitration proceedings.

Knowledge of English and French language. He reads German e Spanish. Ho wrote scientific works in english, french and spanish language too.
