Antonella Carbonaro is a confirmed associate professor, SSD INF01, at the Department of Computer Science - Science and Engineering - of the University of Bologna. He graduated in Information Science in 1992 and in 1997 he obtained a PhD in Intelligent Artificial Systems at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ancona. From 1997 to 1999 he won post-doc research grants on Artificial Intelligence topics. Since 2000 he has been first a researcher and then an associate professor. His research is on the themes of customization and content-based processing of information for data and knowledge representation with semantic web technologies, for example to filter, classify and suggest digital content in customized environments. Since 2015 he has been a member of the technical-scientific committee of the Problem Solving Olympics at the Directorate General for School Systems of the Ministry of Education, University and Research. He is also a member of the working group on Computer Science and School of CINI, the national inter-university consortium for computer science.
