On July 16, 1993, he received his degree in Veterinary Medicine
with experimental thesis, conducted at the Institute of Infectious
Diseases, Prophylaxis and Animal Health, entitled "Research on the
presence of Listeria spp. in a meat processing plant.
On 16 June 1998 he obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in
"Pathology of poultry, rabbit and game animals" presenting a thesis
entitled "Tuberculosis in wild boar in Liguria: microbiological
investigation" carried out at the Department of Veterinary Public
Health and Pathology Animal of the University of Bologna.
Since 1997 to 2014 he was researcher at the service of Hygiene
and Food Technology, Department of Veterinary Public Health and
Animal Pathology of the University of Bologna.
Since 2014 he is Associate Professor at the Department of
Veterinary Medical Sciences
Since 2014 he is Full Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences
