Electrochemical an physical proprieties were studied for the preparation of logic gates in digital computing. Enantioselective catalytic alkylation of isoquinolines with carbonyl, nitro and organometallic compounds.Development of new stereoselective organocatalytic processes for the synthesis of natural compounds and drugs. Development of new enantioselective photocatalytic processes. Synthesis and characterization of new chiral ligands based on rotaxane moiety.

Mentor Prof. Pier Giorgio Cozzi.Development of new enantioselective organocatalytic processes for the synthesis of Oseltamivir derivatives. In this field the research was focused in the develop of new methods for the organocatalytic alkylation with carbenium ion, combining SN1 reactions and activation strategies available in organocatalysis.

Mentor Prof. Diego Savoia. Asymmetric synthesis and application of perazamacrocycles, in particular their use in enantioselective catalytic processes and as NMR chiral solvating agents were studied. Use of allylic alcohols as alkylating agents in the Au-catalyzed enantioselective Friedel-Crafts-type reaction of indoles.

Mentor: Prof. Reinhard Neier. Catalytic hydrogenation of calix[4]pyrrole. The partially-reduced and full-reduced products were employed as ligand of metal in catalytic reactions.

Stereoselective synthesis of heterobenzylic amines. Utilization of synthetized amines as chiral ligand for metals in enantioselective catalysis and as precursors for the synthesis of biologically active compounds. All the project was supported and in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline. Develop and applications of Rhodium on graphite for the catalytic hydrogenation of aromatic compounds under mild conditions.
