Alessio Bonaldo

Full Professor at the University of Bologna. He conducts research on aquaculture. The research interests are mainly aimed at feeding and nutrition of aquatic animals with particular reference to the marine species of the Mediterranean area. He currently focuses his research on new protein sources and the development of sustainable and circular formulations for gilthead sea bream and European sea bass. He is project coordinator or principal investigator for the University of Bologna of relevant European aquaculture projects under the Horizon programs, as well as holding nationally funded competitive projects and research contracts commissioned by national or foreign aquafeed companies. Author or coauthor of 73 scientific papers published in ISI / Scopus journals (citations: 1563; h index: 23) (October 16 2024). Go to the Curriculum vitae
