Alberto Bellini is a full professor of electric machines and drives.
His main research interests are in the area of power conversion and generation from renewable energy sources, of electric drives and diagnosis of electric machines, and of circular economy.
He is a member of the steering committee of IEEE SDEMPED.
He is a member of monitoring board of PER (Regional Energy Plan) for Regione Emilia-Romagna.
He is the scientific coordinator of WP Technologies and systems for energy transport, distribution and storage. Smart sector integration: flexible, integrated, resilient and digitalised energy network (HPC) in spoke 2 of Ecosister, Next Generation EU.
He is author or co-author of more than 120 scientific papers (2 bookchapters, 32 ISI journal papers), published on international journals or conferences proceedings, of three patents, a textbook and a book. Scopus: citations larger than 4600, h-index = 28.
