Andrea Balboni

Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2024, carries out its research in the field of veterinary medicine. Currently, his research activity focuses on the infectious pathogens of companion animals and in the interface between wild and domestic animals. In particular, his research activity is aimed to the study of infectious pathogens with difficult diagnosis and zoonotic potential and on the molecular epidemiology of viral and bacterial diseases of companion animals. During his university career he was engaged in national and international research projects, collaborating with Italian and European institutes. He is author of numerous publications of national and international relevance.
