Full Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Bologna since 2024. She is Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Programme in Human Nutrition, Well-being and Health, and Director of the Advanced Training Course in “Nutrition and Nutraceuticals for Physical Activity and Sport”. She is a member of the PhD Programme in Sport, Health and Wellbeing.
Her research interests lie in the field of cellular and nutritional biochemistry, with studies focusing on the protective and preventive role of bioactive dietary components in the prevention and management of chronic degenerative diseases, such as cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
She is the author of more than 100 articles in the field of cellular and nutritional biochemistry. She has participated in national and international projects and is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals in her field of expertise.
