Yvonne Huetter-Almerigi is a philosopher and literary scholar and her current research focus is in analytic pragmatism and conceptual engineering. More specifically, she is working on a new concept of antirepresentational realism that tries to forge theories of truth with theories of action. In the past, she has worked on topics at the border between philosophy and literature, focusing especially on questions regarding realism in art and other languages, normativity, agency and the nexus between determinism and freedom, ethics and aesthetics, and poetic justice. Before coming to Bologna, she was postdoctoral fellow and assistant professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, visiting lecturer at the Inter University Centre in Dubrovnik, research fellow at the Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature in Oslo, and Marie-Skłodowska-Curie-Fellow with the Horizon2020-MSCA-IF-2018 Project RELEVANT REALISM, Grant agreement n° 832636, in Bologna and Oslo.
