EDUCATION
Vito Palmieri graduated in 2004 in Film Studies from the DAMS programme at the University of Bologna.
TEACHING ACTIVITY
Since the 2014/2015 academic year, he has been an adjunct lecturer at the Department of the Arts of Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, within the Master’s Degree Programme in Cinema, Television and Multimedia Production (CITEM).
His teaching activity focuses on film and audiovisual production, guiding students through the different stages of developing and producing a short film: concept development, screenwriting, crew organisation, directing, shooting, editing and post-production.

ARTISTIC CURRICULUM
Film director and screenwriter, he works across fiction and documentary cinema. His films often explore themes related to childhood and adolescence, social change, justice and social reintegration after imprisonment.

Tana libera tutti (2006), director. Funded by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and nominated for the David di Donatello Awards. The film received numerous awards at national and international festivals.
